I have been editing some fonts on typetool and combined them so the old style figures and small caps are all on one font. The characters are available in the glyph palette but they are not understood by the opentype options or the small caps button in indesign. It seems that these don't work for .ttf files but I converted the font to .ot. Is there a way to name the characters so that they will be recognized... also I am having trouble getting the font to read in fontbook under a different name than the original font, keeps overwriting it.
