In TypeTool (ver 3, mac), I somehow displayed the blue alignment zones. Since this feature is undocumented, how do I turn it off/on?

Just for interest: Is there also a shortcut for unlocking the alignment layer (shortcut or registry)?

Arno,

No, there is no a shortcut since there is no such a command in the menu. But I know the way to add this command to TypeTool for Mac.  Roll Eyes If you really need this you may write me privately.
