Just diving back into font design in windows after a 14 year hiatus. Here's my problem (and I know its something stupid and its somewhere in the manual). I can't access new glyphs via the keyboard once one window is open. I type in a capital "B" when I am at the "A" and all I get is the word "Glyph" in the window bar and a large, thin, "X" across the window.

Any assistance would be appreciated. I have a certain rhythm I build up going from Illustrator to TypeTool that I would like to get going and not being able to instantly go to the next character is a pain to paste a letter is a pain.

Thanks ahead of time...

means there is no such glyph in the font. So you must create the glyph in advance by double-clicking on the cell in the font window. It is usefull to have a template vfb file with all glyphs you usually need created and empty.
