Hello,
I drawn a complete font in Adobe Illustrator CS3 on a Mac and want to import all glyphs (one file per letter) in TypeTool.
But none of the eps formats I tried in illustrator works, I tried EPS 10, CS, etc using the command file>Import>EPS in the Glyph window.
What are the specs of the eps TypeTool wants? By the way, I don't have Illustrator on Windows, I only work with it on a Mac.
best regards,
S.

Perhaps the problem is in the eps contents but not in format. The file should contain just closed filled contours. Can you send me the test file to look at?

Unfortunately I am not sure if the same applies to TypeTool and FontLab, but in FontLab all you have to do is to copy and paste between the programs. Try if that works.

Hello,
I always did it with filled contours, no strokes.
But I find out that for instance,J will work and B not. The first one is only a flat line, the other one has holes.
I tried to use the pathfinder command to make the font transparent, and otherwise I put white color on the "holes".
eps CS3, eps 10, none worked.
I can't copy between softs as I don't have Illustrator on windows.
Please find hereafter those two examples.
Best regards,
Serge

Indeed a low version EPS works fine, version 3 is safe :-).
By the way, open contours work, as long as they have some stroke thickness.
Set Ascender/Descender to 1000/0 to make the EPS come in big.
(The fit EPS to Asc-Desc height does not work in 5.0.4 win)
If white holes come in black, use correct path direction.
