Created a font. When using it, it doesn't use the symbols I designed.

I am using TypeTool3. I made a font and I made a character for every single square, except the blank ones of course. When I installed the font and used it to test it, the Euro symbol amongst a few others display as default and not the glyph I designed. What would be causing this?
