Can't Access Editing Tools

Recently downloaded Typetool 3, did some glyph editing, everything went ok. Then this morning I opened the program, I don't know if I changed something, but the editing tools are unavailable, I click on them in the toolbar and nothing happens. Very frustrating, please help! I tried tossing program in trash and re-installing, no change. Mac OX 10.4.11:-\

View > Lock Layers > Outline

Thank You for the help, I selected View>Lock Layers>Outline then unselected it and that solved the problem. I have much to learn.
