I have a font that i want to use in an architectural design program.  right now the font "rides high" in alot of the programs
applications, labeling, dimensions etc, cutting off the tops of the letters  In researching the issue, i am told that i need to
edit the fort, specifically it's "leading" value.

My question is two fold.

a  can the type tool make these kind of adjustments to a font file.
b  I have the font loaded in many other programs and files, to avoid altering them, i will need to rename the
font (say sdaGraphite) or what ever, so that the previous instances do not change.  its a font that
i purchased, so i don't know if it can actually be renamed.

thanks for taking the time to read this, i look forward to your replies.

I am afraid TypeTool won't help. It cannot alter advanced typographic attributes in OT fonts. But you may try with the DEMO anyway.
