Does the TransType Pro installer work with Snow Leopard?

I'm installing TransType Pro on a MacBook Pro, running the latest build of Snow Leopard. The TransType Pro installer starts - then sucks up every available system resource and dies, with a dialog message "The installer has unexpectedly quit." I'll say. Is this a "we haven't updated the installer to handle Snow Leopard" problem? I've downloaded the app twice, once with Safari and once with Firefox. No love either time. Help!
