Does anyone have experience of using transtype to convert multiple master fonts to open typeface?

I think I have converted them successfully and they work really well when outputting to laser printers and even high end postscript printers. However when my repro house rips them to imposed print files, they seem to corrupt. The weight of type varies between letters especially if it is in italic.

Anybody got an idea why this should happen?

Thanks

Patrick
