I just upgraded to the CS 5 Suite for Macintosh, and I ran into a problem when exporting eps files to use with ScanFont. When trying to open the eps in SF I'm informed that the file is corrupt.

My work-around is to save an .ai file compatible with Illustrator 10 (It still runs on Snow Leopard and is the last application that still has Multiple Master sliders!). I open the .ai file in Illustrator 10 and then save as an eps file compatible with Illustrator 3. I've found over the years that Illustrator 3 eps files work best in ScanFont.

I ran into the same problem just yesterday. The workaround that worked for me was to copy the artwork in Illustrator to the clipboard, then do a new file in ScanFont, which offers to use what's on the clipboard.
