When that sequence of characters is combined, the Sheva is displayed below the line, rather than inside the Kaf. Thus: ךְֿ (a screenshot is also attached). I have tested this on the latest version of the font (1.52 Build 011), both on Windows XP (in Word 2007 with Uniscribe v1.626.6002.16497) and on Ubuntu 9.04 (in AbiWord).

Thank you.

Thanks. This looks like a bug. I'll try to get a fix implemented in the next few days.

This is a tricky situation, because the rafe interrupts the sequence that normally positions the sheva within the final kaf. I wasn't anticipating rafe in this situation. There are a few mechanisms I could use to fix this, but I'll need to give some thought to which is best.

I have fixed this bug and submitted a new version of the SBL Hebrew font to the Society. This should go live for download from their website in the next few days, and I will post a notice to this forum when that happens.

Thanks for catching this problem. I had not encountered it while working on the font previously because this character sequence does not occur in the Masoretic text, which was my primary test document and target for most of the mark interaction.

Thank you. Might I ask what your source was for the Masoretic text? Is this a particular online compilation?

My electronic reference text for the Masoretic Bible was provided by Libronix (maker of Logos software), one of the SBL Font Foundation Members. It is based in turn, I believe, on the Westminster Theological College electronic version of the Ben Asher text of the Codex Leningradensis.
