Greetings, I tried loading the SBL Greek font on Android and it works on 2.1 and 2.3+ but for some reason fails on 2.2 devices. Unfortunately there's no error messages but you you know it fails because it loads the default Droid Serif font instead. The SBL Hebrew font loads fine on all Android platforms I tested on (2.1 and up). Has anyone else experimented with loading these fonts on Android?

Think I know what's going on now...
DEBUG/asset(323): Data exceeds UNCOMPRESS_DATA_MAX (1123080 vs 1048576)

Apparently 2.2 has a 1 meg limit on the size of compressed files in the assets folder. TTF fonts do get compressed and since the SBL_grk.ttf is over 1meg it fails on font creation. This was fixed in 2.3 and later. SBL Hebrew works on 2.2 because it well under the 1meg limit.
