Change color for FillGlyph()

Hello,
I'm using the Canvas.FillGlyph() method to render a glyph and it works except I can get it only black.
Is there a way to access the canvas drawing color that affects this method?
I tried to use the available canvas attributes but without success (they work fine when drawing Rectangles).
