Hi guys,

New to the forum, not new to the software. I've been using it on and off for about a year or so now, and I've found myself with a small problem that I've come across before, but don't remember how to solve.

I'm in the middle of making a font - the way I'm working is to build the letters in Illustrator then copy/paste them over, position them in the glyph window and adjust the metrics/kerning. Anyway, I find that one of them, the forward slash, is not showing up in the preview window. Not only this, but it's taking out the following few letters too. I checked the guides and metrics, and there is nothing different from all the other glyphs.

What is causing this? Any ideas how I should solve it?

Jamie

"Slash" is a special character: "/A" shows "A", "/at" shows "@" etc. To show the slash itself it must be entered twice "//".

aaaaaHAAA!
Brilliant. Thank you. I can only assume my previous problem was with the slash too. Are there any other 'special' characters?

Could you please explain the significance of entering slash twice? Is it just the ways its done or is there a specific purpose for the code?
