Hello there,

I'm a newbie in TypeTool 3 (Mac), but it worked all fine up to now. Now there is a problem showing up I cant't quite cope with. I am editinga font based on a proportional font I opened, but need to have it monospaced. So I ...

1. set all the widths on the same value in the metrics window
2. deleted all the kernings (first manually, then in one step for the entire font, metrics window top dropdown menue)
3. checked the box for monospaced font in the fontinfo window.

In the metrics window it looks all fine, but when i export and install the font (OTF or TTF), e.g. the 1 and 2 are running in different widths.

- Is there any other way to force the font being monospaced?
- Is there a way to control all the kerning pairs given out in the font? Just to know for sure, they are all deleted ...

Thanks for any help!
Peder

OK, I recieved a helpful hint. It was just InDesigns internal tracking adjustment (Laufweitenausgleich) that mixed things up. In Illustratior Word etc. it works fine.
