Hi,

at the moment i'm experimenting with some Tai Tham fonts, and had a few questions.

Tai Tham (along with a few other unicode blocks) do not have script tags. The spec recommends using the default script and default language in such cases.

Assuming the default script and language are used in the font, what OT features do Uniscribe and DirectWrite support for the default script?

Also would fonts using the default script need a DSIG to work in Word 2010?

Tai Tham has had an ISO 15924 script code since June of last year. It is <Lana>, based on an alternate name of "Lanna" for the script. I don't know if the latest version of VOLT has updated the tags list to reflect the recent additions or whether Uniscribe recognizes it yet, so it is still advisable to use the Dflt script.
