In some Lookups I'm using filtering.
I need to use 2 similar filters:
          Filter1 = GlyphX, GlyphY, GlyphZ;
          Filter2 = GlyphX, GlyphY (but not GlyphZ).
I tried all group-combinations, but I keep getting error massages: "Glyph glyphxxx is in both... Please make sure mark groups are mutually exclusive".

How can I create these 2 similar filters?

Thank you
Marzel

Do I understand corectly that you are trying to filter marks classes?

Current OpenType specification only allows mark to belong to one mark class.  You have to split your marks into non-intersecting classes or create more complexlookups taking into account different combinations of marks.

Current candidate of OpenType spec 1.6 introduces new mechanism for mark filtering, allowing arbitrary sets of marks to be used as filters. Unfortunately, VOLT as well as existing text layout systems do not support it yet.

Thanks,
Sergey

1. THANK YOU

2. Is there a way to combine filters in the "Process Marks" field (similar to programming)?
i.e. Filter1 AND Filter2; Filter1 NOT Filter2; etc.

No. This is in the nature of OT mark filtering, not VOLT limitation.
