Bug in MS Word 2007?

I've made a Latin font covering also IPA and Indic transliteration. With IPA the positioning  of diacritics on top of base glyphs works perfectly under Windows XP with Word 2003, Editor and WordPad. With Windows 7 I'm facing the following problem: With Editor, WordPad and OpenOffice everything is ok. But both with Word 2007 and Works positioning does not work with Greek base glyphs U+03B8 and U+03B2 (as used with IPA). Additionally Word 2007 shows the same problem with U+1D91.

Could it be that this is a bug in Windows 2007 and MS Works, or can *I* overcome this problem myself?
