Differences between Typetool/Font Lab studio

Discussion started on TypeTool

Hello,

So I want to know what is the main difference with Fontlab/Typetool and I am abit confused?
I was a student when I studied Graphic Design at a college but also used fontlab once and have graduated since, now currently studying at Uni. I kind of gained an interest in typography but I really want to create fonts and distribute to other font sites as part of a hobby while I work part time in future. Is it worth getting Typetool for $50USD - AUD for a student/hobby!!

Please email allenkwan.ids@gmail.com , best way for me to reply.

Thankyou in advance!!

Support+Docs, FontLab
TypeTool is a truncated version of Studio. Here you will find the list of features removed from Studio to get TypeTool:

Surely you can start with TypeTool as most students do and later (if you decide you need more from it) upgrade up to Fontlab Studio for additional $560USD (i mean full price here).

Although we do try to track bug reports in the forums,
a much more reliable route is to use our bug report
form at <a href="https://support.fontlab.com">support.fontlab.com</a>
