what can you do in BitFonter demo?

Discussion started on BitFonter

I'm considering buying BitFonter for the studio I work for, which does mostly print. (Yes, really.) I downloaded the demo to see if I could 1. learn to make raster fonts straight from scans, no outlines (for a distressed look) and 2. get them to work in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.

I can use the demo internally, but not even the manual tells me how to save it in a format that works. I saved as ttf, but the characters I added in the character map don't show up outside of the bfb file.

Is this because I have the demo? How can I tell that the real thing would work before buying it?

I'm also seeing that your webpage offers Photofont start for Adobe's CS4 and below... I have CS5. I take it this means I should not be buying this product?

Support+Docs, FontLab
Photofont start should work with CS5 as well. It is free for download so you can try using it before buying BitFonter.

Although we do try to track bug reports in the forums,
a much more reliable route is to use our bug report
form at <a href="https://support.fontlab.com">support.fontlab.com</a>
