Unicode mess
« on: 2013-01-10, 03:41:22 »
When a vfb file contains a glyph named u20087 (without a Unicode assigned), and I generate a ttf, AFS tries to assign a Unicode, which it can't, and adds an additional CMAP to the font, which should have 8 bytes per glyph, but only has 4, so the CMAP will be very chaotic. The resulting font works fine in some situations, and seems to be perfect when opening the generated ttf, but has endless unicodes mixed up in other situations. AFS is from 2003, no update in 10 years?
