I followed the tutorial on leading and made sure the key dimensions were well beyond the tops and bottoms of the highest and lowest acenders and decenders respectively and those portions of the characters were still cut off when I installed in Word or FontBook.

I'm attaching a few screenshots as well as the raw .ttf file that you can load into TypeTool on your end to examine my work and see if there is anything that I didn't do properly that may be causing the problem.

In TypeTool, go to File / Font Info / Metrics and Dimensions / TrueType-specific metrics, click on "Set custom values" and then on the first "Recalculate" button. Generate the font -- that should help.
