Mac and Windows incompatibility & Kerning problems

Hi,

I've designed and generated OTF on my windows computer.
 
This project is for a client who uses a Mac.  When I send him the new font he can open it on his Windows computer, but not on his Mac.  Please advise on how I can generate a font on my Windows Vista computer and send it to him in in a format he can open, download and use on his Mac.
 
Also, although he can download and use the font on his Windows computer, it seems that serious kerning/spacing issues have appeared, which are not showing on my computer.  I urgently need help with this please - and please in simple language, as I am not a techy - just a humble lettering artist.

In Fontagrapher 5, when you generate a font don't you see a choice to pick the intended platform?

Please tell me if my suggestions are helpful or just lame.
Strange about the keening though. I downloaded a "free" script font that had kerning issues. Have you tried testing the font inside Fontagrapher in the Windows>metrics window?
