[4692 win] garbled interface elements

The menu and panel icons still look awful (Win 7, Display set to Medium)
(the reason I am not reporting many other bugs is that I don't trust the beta enough to use it for current quality and time critical projects)

by the way, this lousy workaround:

Studio 5 Properties > Compatibility > [v] Disable display scaling on high DPI settings

should remedy these problems, but it doesn't help.
