i am creating a font using ScanFont to TypeTool and the font will be limited to a 10 glyphs. when i generate the font and then use a subsequent software application that randomly reads from this font it considers the 10 glyphs, but also all the blank glyphs that i did not create. is there any way to create a font so that it is constrained to the 10 glyphs and will not consider the rest as blanks? any help is appreciated.

Depends on the method it randomly reads. Does the application know how many glyphs were in the font?
