Hey All,
So I have some pretty big problems here, and was wondering if anyone can give me some insight on how to fix it. Basically, I am trying to create a font that contains both Bulgarian Cyrillic glyphs as well as english glyphs. I dragged the glyphs in one at a time, and despite some minor baseline shifting, everything seems to work fine. I generated a new font, and when used in a static text field in flash, everything works fine.
However when I set a dynamic text field to have text loaded in externally via an XML file, the font gets all kinds of crazy. The english characters are fine, despite some minor baseline shifts, but the Bulgarian cyrillic glyphs are all over the place. The spacing between the characters are all seemingly random, with some overlapping, and some characters having what seems to be like 2-3 empty spaces between them.
What really sucks is that the font behaves fine under all circumstances except for when the text is dynamically loaded in from XML. The flash movie work fine with a multitude of other embedded fonts and XML fed dynamic text fields including japanese and thai. I know its a long shot, but does anyone have any insight as to why this is happening and a solution perhaps?
Thanks in advance.
