Convert multiple otf to ttf files
«

Hello, I am looking at purchasing the transtype pro package. Can anyone please confirm that this software is able to convert otf to ttf fonts. Also...can it do batch conversions so I can do many at once? I will be working on a make and then installing the ttf fonts into a web gallery. Please let me know if there are any issues I'm not aware of or if this will work!
Thanks,
George

TransType Pro can convert a OT font to TTF and it can batch many different fonts from different folders in a row. It's a huge time saver.

Yes Transtype can do the job but you need to be careful of converting large families form Mac to PC. You would be better off to convert them as stand-alone fonts.
Why not get the demo and give it a try?

Double check the kerning though. Class based kerning doesn't collapse to regular kerning when you convert from OTF to other formats.

Yep -Transtype can do all that but the catch is that you need to watch closely when converting large families of fonts. Best bet is to get the demo and try it.

The demo or SE version won't open an otf file. The site shows that SE doesn't have the capability. I need to do the same, and it looks like I'll need to take a leap of faith to buy the full version in order to see if it will work. Seems a bit backwards.
