Hi all,
Is there a way in FS5 to generate an OpenType font and have it appear with the correct icon ?

On my system (WinXP+SP2), it keeps showing up as a TTF.

Please describe the steps you took to generate the font...

Did you specify OTF?

MacEachaldh...this may or may not be very basic, depending on your level of experience. There are basically 2 kinds of opentype fonts...ps flavoured and ttf flavoured. When you generate ps flavoured otf fonts, you should get the otf icon. If you generate a ttf flavoured otf font, you'll get the ttf icon.

Hope that helps.

If you want an OT icon for an TrueType flavoured OT font you have to add a digital signature to the font (or a empty dsig table at least).

Ahhh !!!  Maybe this is what's happening !

I don't have a registered digital signature yet.  How do I create an empty dsig table ?
