font metrics help
«
on:

Can someone please explain in more detail what the option under the metics window "how much must the shape of glyphs inflate to generate metrics" means, and how it is going to adjust the font.
Thanks,
jason

there are a couple things going on here which I guess someone could write a treatise on (actually people have)...
but you can look at this as an option to offset how much information you want to change in the em square... how much white space around the character, etc.
so the "inflate" part of this: do you want the character to adjust as you adjust the other metrics?
