My question is relating to the use of direction quotes when making a new TrueType font in Fontlab Studio. How does one make the font so that the Double Quote and Single Quote glyphs are hooking in the correct direction when typed? I am new to FontLab, so I'm not sure how this works.

Thank you,

Left double quotation mark “ (Unicode 8220) and right double quotation mark ” (Unicode 8221) are different characters. So you must create and draw both glyphs. The same with single quotation marks.

Platform, application, keyboard layout - everything makes difference.  Wink
