jamespuckett,
you may try the attached script. It is a tool, which allows you to use 'interpolated nudge' with the mouse.
REQUIREMENTThe InterpolateNode module from Christian Roberts must be installed.
It can be downloaded from:
http://betatype.com/node/18INSTALLATIONPlace this script in the 'Macros/System/Tool' folder and reset the macrosystem
in FontLab or restart FontLab.
USAGESelect Nudge from the Tool dropdown menu.
Activate the macro tool.
SELECTION- left-click on node selects single node
- shift & left-click on node adds single node to selection
- left-click & drag selects multiple nodes (rubberband)
- shift & left-click & drag adds multiple nodes to selection (rubberband)
- left-click on emply area deselects all nodes
MODIFICATION- left-click on selected node & drag: move selection
(click on selected segment does not work jet) - shift key while dragging: constrain movement in vertical direction
- ctrl key (cmd on Mac) while dragging: constrain movement in horizontal direction
- right-click while dragging: cancel action (all nodes jump back to original position)
An echo of the original outline is left until the left mouse button is released.
Undo is enabeled.
KNOWN PROBLEMSThe whole tool thing in FontLab is pretty unstable. FontLab will crash
(at least on Windows) if you drag the selection around for a while.
So - save your work frequently!Christian Roberts:
If you like the script, feel free to add it to your distribution.
