pre sales - hinting an existing font

Hi Everyone,

I'm Joe and I have not bought Fontlab but am seriously considering doing so. I made a font from scratch in High-Logic Font Creator and it looks horribly jagged on screen at the smaller font sizes in any word processor. It prints fine.

I read about hinting in the manual and tried to remedy the situation but no change.

With Fontlab Studio could I import the font and add hinting or would I have to start over and design the font
from the beginning again?  (which who knows might be a good idea).

Any comments will be appreciated.
