hey, guys, i use fontographer 4.something (0?), and have created many fonts from handwriting samples (as well as those i've drawn in illustrator and copied/pasted into fog).  just had a client contact me with concern because her mac font book identified multiple fonts as "minor problem".  after freaking out a lot (ha), i looked around to see whether this was something i was or wasn't doing, or what could cause a font to be identified-so.

has anyone had experience with this?  what do i need to do to fix the fonts so that they're "validate-able" by macs?

oh, and as a funny aside, several of the "problem" fonts were created ON MY MAC!

help?  thanks so much!

It sounds like the font got corrupted somewhere.  I've only used FOG on a PC, but I'd try going back to the original FOG data file and generating a new font from it.  Then, install the font on your Mac and see if it works OK.  One other idea: if your user has a very similar font already installed on his system, it might be confusing the two fonts together.

Of course, you could always scrap your Mac and step down to Windows...   Grin
