I am trying to build my first font. I have all the glyphs drawn proportionately inside of one Illustrator file.
I want to import these into FOG5 without distortion and keep the fills. I have some characters like "s" and "c" that sit slightly below the baseline. Can I import to this same position?

1) How can I do this in the most quick and efficient manner and retain the proportions and sizes EXACTLY from Illustrator? (How should I set up character in FOG, etc).

2) I also want to create some additional alternate characters (ie: 3 different "m" glyphs) as well as a logo. How do I tell someone how to access these characters via the keyboard? Can Someone explain the keystroke codes for both mac and pc?

3) Is Fontographer the best choice for this or is it better to use ScanFont with Typetool? I want to know from someone with experience what is the best and easiest workflow.

Please be specific in your instructions. Again, I am new and telling me to search the tech notes will not be helpful. I am getting frustrated and hope someone out there can help me.

Thanks!

p.s. Why aren't there video tutorials for this? It seems it would be such a common workflow.
