Hi

Is the upgrade 5.0 --> 5.1 free? I only see pricing information for 4 --> 5.

If so, how do I upgrade? Download the demo, install, enter serial number?

Thanks

I only see cross-product or cross-platform updates. So I'm just using FOG5 (Mac) to FOG5 (Win), I guess?

There is a typo. Should look like this:

Free update from product            to product

 Fontographer 5.0 (Mac)              Fontographer 5.x (Mac) Click here to download
 Fontographer 5.0 (Win)              Fontographer 5.x (Win) Click here to download

 So if you are on Mac download the free update for Mac:

Thank you FontLab for the upgrade. I look forward to seeing if the various little problems I had with 5.0 are fixed. I did find that the metrics assistance now lets you add the Central and Eastern European characters and save them to a file. However, the old metric assistance files and the metrics assistance information stored in old fonts seem to be incompatible or questionable with the new 5.1.

I hadn't realised that FontLab had taken over the development of Fontographer when Adobe swallowed Macromedia. I thought it had just been allowed to die and was very saddened when my version 4.1 failed to work under WinXP.  Well done FontLab but is there an upgrade available from 4.1 or do I have to buy the full product for a second time?

FontLab took over the development a good few years ago, actually.

http://www.fontlab.com/upgrades/ shows you that there is an upgrade price from Fog for Windows.
