My test pages printed directly from fontographer look like they came from bitmaps rather than outlines. I have a high quality Xerox laser printer (and a lesser quality inkjet). When I output the fonts and print them in InDesign or Illustrator, they look great, but this is creating a lot of extra work for me.  Is there a solution to getting quality test prints directly from Fontographer?

How do the fonts print when actually installed?  If I remember right, when I was creating a new TTF font a few years ago on a Windows system, I discovered that the sample printout didn't use the hints incorporated in the letters, so they looked better when finally installed than they did on the printout.

Can you print to .ps and distill to PDF for printing? Can you print directly to PDF for printing? Those would seem to be quick workarounds.
