Hi there,
I have been given a strange request by a customer. They want me to modify and existing font, and provide a version with reduced tracking values. So they want the letters of the font to be closer to each other.

Don't ask me why they want this, because I don't know.

I own a copy of TransType Pro and Fontographer 4.7, but I can't seem to see any way of applying a universal tracking change to a font. Is this something I can do with FontLab? Can this be done without editing each character one at a time?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
brayne

To subtract 10 tracking units to all glyphs in FontLab Studio: Tools / Action / Metrics / Adjust metrics, Width: Adjust by -10 units, Apply to entire font, OK.

I believe the same can be done in FOG 4.7:
Metrics / Set Metrics / Width, Selected chars, Decrease by 10 em units
