Hello
We have created a custom OTF font with the following variants: font1 (plain), font1 (italic), font2 (bold), font2 (bolditalic). We have the following issue: the customer has both Mac and Windows workstations and works with QuarkXpress 8, no font managers.
When he works in Mac, he can see all the fonts as separate families, in Windows he cannot (he can see only the basic family and use the <I> for italics). I have explained that this is the way Windows works, but he asked if we can produce fonts that appears as separate families in both Windows and Macs, so when a document is created in Windows can be opened in Mac without font changes and warnings and vice versa.
In the fonts that we created, in the Font Info -> Name and Copyright section, we have set names only in the Basic set of font names. Should we have info in the OpenType specific names section or in the Additional Opentype names section?
Thanks in advance
