Hi

I have redesigned a font to have a new version of a few glyphs. When I delete the old glyphs and replace them with the new version the kerning pair is retained from where the new glyph is second in the pair. eg WAW replace the A glyph and AW kern pair is deleted but WA kern pair is retained with the new A glyph. Is this a bug? If not, it is really inconvenient. Does anyone know of a way to remove the kern pair when the glyph is second in the pair?

never came across this before - can you save your kerns out to a file and then delete this pair?

Try what I have said and you will see what happens.

I am guessing that the FontLab file format holds the kerning pair under a reference to the first glyph but not the second, so deleting the first glyph in the pair will delete the kern pair, but deleting the second glyph will not delete the kern pair.

I think this could be a bug. I'll put in a bug request and see what they say.
