The ability to open Fontographer files in Fontlab would help many of us who have added Fontlab to our arsenal.  For me, I have hundreds of fonts I've built or am working on in Fontographer that I'd like to open and continue working on in Fontlab.  And yes, I could output fonts with the artwork as it stands, but some things don't translate once they are output as a type file (postscript or truetype).
I'm still learning the ropes on Fontlab so anything I can do to make the learning go easier and faster is a help.

Fontographer 5 can save as .vfb (FontLab native) file. You can also go from .fog to .vfb with FogLamp. Not everything carries over, but more than outputting a PostScript font or whatever.
