Original shape before sketch mode.



In sketch mode I import sketch.




Then I replace outline and exit sketch mode. Note the placement of the handles on the curve; not very elegant.




After placing a copy on the mask layer, I adjust the handles so the outline matches precisely. The resulting shape is the same but the handles are more smartly placed. I'd like sketch mode to generate beziers handles at more balanced positions.



I have to fix the bezier handles almost every time I use sketch mode. I wish the next FontLab would address this problem.
