Meter panel: report handle length

It would be great if the line segment length/angle values in the meter panel would display the length and angle of a handle when I select that handle’s BCP. On a related note, if I select a line segment by shift-clicking it is not measured; if this is not a bug then it would be great to have that behavior change.
