I have two more feature requests today:
Add measurement beams like those in UFOStretch, with corresponding controls for using them at angles (which should automatically use a font’s italic slant value), to the glyph window. This would dramatically decrease the amount of time it takes to clean up rounding errors that result from interpolation/extrapolation or processing batches out outlines using tools like KLTF Glyph Tweaker.
Second, it would be great if I could provide default text (via a text file) that appears in the “Quick Test As…” window. There should be a page break character that I can insert into the text. This would allow me to set up a single text file that could serve as a fairly complex proof to print directly from FontLab without having to copy/paste text from other programs or generate fonts to use in Indesign. This would save a lot of time in the early stages of developing type families.
