Masks can only be created from outlines, and not from composites. This is a problem if I need to recreate glyphs in a way that will alter their positions within a glyph built from them. For example, if I am using a macro or other application to create and tweak numerators and denominators, it would be nice if I could create masks from the fractions so that I can easily track the positions of the composites after I regenerate and space them.
