Locking vertical metrics

I wish it were possible in FLS to lock the position of the vertical metrics *without* also locking the position of the dotted red measurement line. While there are many reasons why one might want x and cap-height markers to be locked, I can't envision many situations in which one would want the position of the measurement line locked; yet locking the one also locks the others.
