When I copy paste components from on cell to the other, the order of the components is affected by the order of selection. If i have four components that are in the correct order and select starting with No. 4, it turns to No. 1 when pasting it into a new slot, the second selected turns into 2 etc.

If this is a desired feature, I do not get the point for AFAIK changes of component order are hardly ever functional, but on the contrary, a potential error source. Hence, I think it would make sense to preserve the order, no matter which component I select first before copying.

I have noticed this too. It's really annoying when interpolating glyphs with more than one identical component: approxequal, percent, perthousand, double quotes, ellipsis. When you interpolate, Murphy's law kicks in. One way around it is to cut and paste those glyphs on the font window before you interpolate. That'll set them in the correct order.
