When a glyph like a.alt is chosen as neighbor, nothing might be shown in another font. You have to edit the neighbors text file and restart FontLab.
The right-click choose neigbor should also be available when there is nothing to be seen.

Ah, and class kerning should work on neigbors too, and why not enable more than 1 neighbor a la "Glyphs" :-)

Perhaps "neighbor string" would be better? The pair being kerned followed by a brief standard string like "nuo"?
