Hi,

Wonder if anyone can help me...

I've designed a font using FontLab 4.6 (and 5.0 - get the same problem in both)...

When I export it as TTF, I get a lot of space above and below the line of characters when I use it to test it in Word - and the larger I make the typeface, the greater the space...

Anyone have any ideas why this is and how to fix it?

Thanks,
Hairdocat

You need to set up your vertical metrics to provide optimal spacing. Read Karsten Lucke’s explanation at http://www.kltf.de/downloads/FontMetrics-kltf.pdf
