What causes an undesired proliferation of Red permanent guides to mystically appear and threaten to take over the glyph window? I can easily remove the blue guides which reside in single glyphs and am quite happy dealing with the red guides that I have actually introduced on purpose--I can't figure out how to dump the red guide version of the AIDS epidemic.  I swear my fonts have only been having only safe sex! I have in vein tried dragging them off but some either clone themselves or are repeated ad infinitum upon themselves.
