For the past several days I have been having issues with FLS5 crashing on startup (of the application, not of my system). I am on Win XP and thought that this problem might be related to some system updates that were recently installed, as I can avoid this problem by reverting my system to an earlier time, but then I eventually get the crash on startup problem again. Unfortunately, I cannot ascertain what it is exactly that is causing these problems, but I would like them to stop. I am attaching a screenshot of the error message I keep getting in case that it might be of some help. I am hoping to get this issue resolved as soon as possible.
My system setup info is: Win XP Professional, Version 2002, SP 3

Not sure why you got this message but I would first clean up the Studio's preferences by removing the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\FontLab\Studio5\Options\ in the system registry. This will require to enter your s/n again.
